UNESCO's mission in Africa can be defined as contributing to the peace and development of the continent, while ensuring that Education, Sciences, Social Sciences, Culture, and Communication are central to the Member States’ development.
In order to carry out that noble mission, UNESCO is supported by its Africa Field Offices Network which includes: regional, cluster and national offices. These offices are undertaking diverse activities in the fields cited above.
Within this portal, you will find information about UNESCO's achievements in Africa and its outlooks. The objective is to inform the greater public about UNESCO's intervention on the continent and to encourage participation in its various initiatives.
We are all well aware that the peace and development African people legitimately yearn for is an incredible task which calls for the mobilization of all good wills.
